A president of a nation has a right to speak his mind and he has a right to make clear that when he speaks his mind the words spoken might not really be the intent of what he said. A video has emerged in which President Morsi makes the following remarks concerning those of the Jewish faith:
“nurture our childen and our grandchildren on hatred of Jews and Zionists”
“these bloodsuckers who attack the Palestinians, these warmongers, these descendants of apes and pigs.”
The president insists that his words were “taken out of context.” His spokesman went on to make clear: “the president respects all religions and upholds freedom of religion.”
Sure he does. Just read his words. In all fairness, President Morsi not only has Jews angry at him, but half the population of Egypt.
