Never let it be said that Republicans oppose any form of economic incentives to help create jobs for the unemployed. The Senate voted 94-1 for legislation that actually provides economic incentives to any company which will hire an unemployed veteran! Tax credits of up to $9,000 will go to companies that hire disabled veterans who have been jobless for up to six months. The bill will also provide veterans employment counseling and other job-hunting services.
I wonder if we could declare all those without jobs-“unemployed veterans” and thus enable them to fall under provisions of the bill? Heck, who knows, maybe Republicans will vote to spend a few dollars to actually hire people to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure!
