Republicans Head For Control Of Congress

Most polls indicate Republicans will most probably gain control of the House of Representatives and the Senate. Despite these polls, President Obama refuses to stand up and defend not only his own party, but the work of Congress over the past two years. He has not held a press conference in a year and allows Beck and Fox News to control the media agenda. For example, latest figures indicate under President Obama more illegal immigrants have been sent back to Mexico but few in America who claim the nation is being over-run by immigrants have the slightest idea about these figures! The president has yet to clearly and concisely explain any of his programs, his most common expression is they are “too complex” for a simple explanation. One has the sense Barack Obama refuses to stand up and take the offense against Republican lies. He represents the most ineffectual president in recent American history when it comes to the task of “the bully pulpit” of leadership.

A cynic might claim Obama wants the Republicans to win and create gridlock. Then, in 2012 he can campaign against a do-nothing Congress. Has Obama ever taken a class in Politics 101?
