During the past presidential election, Mitt Romney posed as a “job creator.” He disparaged efforts by President Obama to have the government create new job opportunities. The recent Sandy hurricane not only swept through most parts of the northeast but it also swept away Republican ideas concerning job creation. It is now estimated rebuilding costs for Sandy will approach anywhere from $140 Billion to $240 Billion. That means thousands and thousands of jobs for those engaged in rebuilding the northeast area.
Rebuilding means workers to do the rebuilding, construction and reconstruction of buildings, it means replacing damaged products with new ones, it means stimulating factories to produce products and as men and women get back to work on reconstruction, they have more money to purchase goods. Keynes in operation, the same Keynes idea rejected by Republicans!!
