Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence is a world unto itself. It works with the Taliban, it works with terror groups while seeking military aid from the United States in order to fight against terrorists. The Supreme Court of Pakistan uncovered another secret of the ISI when it demanded release of men who had been arrested years ago and detained without any charges. Chief Justice Iftikhar Cahudry ordered the ISI to explain under which laws these men were imprisoned.
Men hobbled into court, some had been in jail for years without ever having any court hearing, any charges brought against them. Some were arrested, placed in jail and forgotten for years. Abdul Majid said “they picked me up from my shop. I was a businessman. No one ever explained to us why we are being held.”
They are the ISI, they can do whatever they damn well please.
