Still Another French Revolution

France has for centuries been the source of human rights  ever since crowds marched in Paris to end a monarchy and empower the forces of democracy. To say the word, France, is to express a desire to extend democracy. A majority  of people in France  now support the principle of same sex marriage. In effect, they believe everyone has the right to marry anyone. But, there are thousands who oppose such ideas. Over one million in January marched to protest a new law which makes legal gay marriage. On Sunday, another 300,000 yelled and screamed their opposition to the proposed law.

The Old Regime had one more opportunity on Sunday to have supporters ready to defend their right to oppress people in France. It is sad that in 2013 there are French people who seek return to the good old days when those with power ruled over those lacking power.
