Many Republican leaders in Congress such as Senator John McCain insist the Ogama administration should rush to the aid of rebel forces in Syria in order to assume leadership in the fight to end the regime of President Assad. Of course, there are many members of the Republican party who are ready to blast President Obama for doing what McCain wants. However, the American and English government announced they would not supply Syrian forces in rebellion with all “non-lethal” assistance after the newly formed Islamic Front took over facilities belonging to the Free Syrian Army’s Supreme Military Council, which is allied with the anti-Assad opposition National Coalition.
The Isalmic Front seized weapons including dozens of anti-aircraft and anti-tank rockets. The problem now is that Syria is divided every which way. Solution? Work with Iran as part of a comprehensive solution that will witness the exit of Assad along with guarantees that Islamic extremists are removed from obtaining power within the country.
