Rep. Rob Woodall, a Georgia Republican finally told the American people what his party seeks in terms of medical insurance. He told seniors to cease looking to the government for health insurance because their employer refuses to offer one and take care of themselves. He told a senior citizen in the audience: “Hear yourself, ma’am, hear yourself. You want the government to take care of you, because your employer decided not to take care of you. My question is. when do I decide to take care of me?” A woman responded: “When you become a senior, you will not be created equal when they take away your Medicare.” Another woman added; “I’m fine with my Medicare, and my children and my grandchildren –my children especially–would have a lot of heartburn if they know that I’m not on Medicare, because the voucher is not going to go very far.”
Congressman Woodall, told those who want government health plans they might seek places like Canada. “If you want a socialized health care program, there are lots of places to find that.”
The only conclusion a sensible person can come away from after listening to an honest Republican is to never again vote for these people. Hard working people were insulted by this twerp. Oh, by the way, Woodall, during my treatment for cancer, some shots cost a thousand dollars. The only way for me to receive those shots was to have Medicare or head for the Canadian border!
