Jeb Bush is very proud of his brother who has remained outside the political arena since leaving office. “Imagine being a former President and not having an opinion over the past four years, really, I mean, to have that discipline, to be respectful of the president that hasn’t been as respectful of him as he should have been. I could never have that discipline.” I fear Jeb does not grasp the role of an ex-president. He has the responsibility to offer his ideas–in a respectful manner. He has the responsibility to acknowledge errors during his time in office, 11particularly when his decisions led to the deaths of fellow Americans.
George Bush in 2004 allowed ads to be shown which depicted his opponent, John Kerry, a decorated hero of the Vietnam War, to be charged with being un-American. He allowed ads which depicted a former war hero who lost two legs in Vietnam, to be depicted as a supporter of al-Qaeda. Yeah, some discipline!!
