Tit For Tat Between Israel-Hamas

Israel is a small country set inside the Arab world and it has every right to be concerned about safety and survival. Given this reality one would assume Israel leaders would make every effort to achieve peace with its neighbors. Alas, this is an Israel led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the man who was convinced that Mitt Romney would be elected president of the USA. Militants in the Gaza Strip  blasted away with rockets into Israel. Israel military leaders blasted away with rockets into Gaza, one of which killed an important Hamas leader. Three Israelis died in the exchange which means the IDF must, yes, must, invade Gaza and teach those people a lesson in peace.

Who cares at this point who fired the initial shot. The only solution to this endless sixty year conflict is in a room in which both sides engage in compromise. If Netanyahu really wants peace he could begin by offering a six month halt to further settlements, sit down and be prepared to compromise, attain a settlement which also settles the rights of Jewish settlers to take over land owned by Palestinians.

Sorry, Israel, another and another invasion of Gaza will NOT end the conflict. How about working for peace and compromise and this begins by recognizing the other side also must achieve SOME of its goals!!
