The on again, off again question as to whether Iran is engaged in development of nuclear energy that would lead to creation of atomic weapons continues its merry chase of who is telling the truth. International Atomic Energy Agency(IAEI) chief Mohamed Elbarrdei, has agree to work with Iranian officials in order to clarify what exactly is going on about its atomic development program. He said his talks had resulted in a milestone, “and hopfully by the end of May we will be in a position to get the explanation and clarification from Iran as to these alleged studies(about atomic weapons). This, in my view, is a positive step.” Tehran continues denying they have undertaken any program to develop atomic weapons.
Iran says “no,” President Bush says, “yes.” Perhaps, it is time for an independent agency to get at the truth.
